Choosing tape backup software
- Confirm support for your LTO generation, drive and library model.
- Check WORM, encryption key management and library partition support.
- Look for disk staging (disk-to-disk-to-tape) to keep drives streaming.
- Make sure restores are tested regularly — an untested backup is unproven.
